School to School Support

We have a dedicated team of experts that are available to provide bespoke support packages to individuals, schools or departments based on the priorities for your school. We can work with you to identify appropriate strategies or interventions for your school, or we can share our expertise of having dealt with a similar situation in a different context.

National, Local or Specialist Leader of Education (NLE/LLE/SLE) Support

Typically NLE's and LLE's will work with the Headteacher or Principal and SLE's will work with middle and/or senior leaders to undertake the following:

  • Carry out diagnostic visits
  • Develop action plans, identifying key priorities and SMART targets
  • Provide one-to-one or group support
  • Offer coaching and mentoring support
  • Provide access to resources and training
  • Headteacher Performance Reviews
  • Pupil Premium Reviews

We can also support with School Improvement Planning and SEF completion.

The ultimate aim of NLE's and SLE's will always be to contribute significantly to improving the outcomes for children through developing the capacity of peer leaders in other schools.

NLE's and LLE's are Headteacher's or Principals who use their skills and experience and in the case of the former those of their staff, to support schools in Ofsted categories or other challenging circumstances to build capacity to ensure that improvements can be sustained

The designation of SLE's by the National College is the most recent development in school to school support. SLE's are outstanding middle or senior leaders with at least two years experience and with first class knowledge in a particular field of expertise and two years experience in a leadership role. Committed to outreach work and with the capacity to carry out same, SLE's have a successful track record of working effectively within their own school or across a group of schools and bring with this excellent communication and interpersonal skills and high levels of emotional intelligence to work sensitively and collaboratively with peer colleagues.
